When choosing who would swap with who on May 29th, the gang failed to recognize one somewhat important thing. The fact that neither Maxxie nor Terra knew much of anything about home care… and they were going to be in charge of taking care of a home together. Normally, that wouldn’t be a problem for a week-long arrangement like this, but the signs of disarray and disorganization were already present throughout the home.
The linen closet had been emptied out and filled with inconsistently folded towels that were jammed into shelves haphazardly. The second-floor bathroom was locked with an ‘out of order’ sign affixed to the door. Jade’s bedroom had been turned inside out with clutter arranged in the most Maxxie-like manner possible. Which is to say it was not even organized chaos. Just regular chaos. And the large TV that once graced the living room was currently residing in the alley, waiting for the scrap guy to come pick it up.
Despite these… numerous setbacks, Maxxie(Jade) and Terra(Caroline) were back at it again, dressed in what looked like pajamas as they stood in the kitchen, looking over a pot full of homemade lentil soup. The two sisters had pride on their faces as they looked over this pot, using Caroline’s kitchen timer to determine when they should or should not stir the pot. It seemed like they finally were doing something right, but with these two you never know…
Terra(Caroline): “So, have you thought about how we’re going to apologize to Jade and Caroline?”
Maxxie(Jade): “Honesty and fealty, my motherly sister! Because while we’ll obviously reimburse them, that’s Mom and Dad’s money. …But we might need to lose our bodies for the rest of the summer depending on how vindictive they are.”
Terra(Caroline): “T-They wouldn’t do that… and Verde probably wouldn’t like that… would she?”
Maxxie(Jade): “Girl’s a polyamorous God who sent us to The Tentacle Zone for fun, and from what Jade told me, she also killed her parents. As far as I’m concerned, she is an even looser cannon than me! …But she would defo get bored of that sort of punishment.”
Terra(Caroline): “…Maxxie, could you please not tell me these things?”
Maxxie(Jade): “Yeah, sorry. I’m just getting real peeved about all of this mess.”
Terra(Caroline): “The good news is that it will all be over soon. By tomorrow evening, we’ll be back in our own bodies.”
Maxxie(Jade): “Good job with that positive thinking! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be in the bathroom!”
Terra(Caroline): “Please use a plastic bag this time…”
Maxxie(Jade): “Hey, that was your mess!”
Terra(Caroline): “How was I supposed to know that Caroline’s body couldn’t handle all that fried chicken? I told you we should have just kept things simple, but—”
Maxxie(Jade): “Me go to potty place, you stir soup. BYE!”
With her caveman-speak summary, Maxxie(Jade) waved her arm erratically as she walked out of the kitchen to the nearby first floor bathroom. Terra(Caroline) waved to her as her sister left, but as she lowered her arm, she miscalculated where she was standing and the fact that there was a hot pot of soup right next to her.
Terra(Caroline)’s elbow bumped into the pot with an audible clunk and sent the pot off of the metal grip of the burners. Her arm was dazed after smacking into the pot, and while she tried to reach for it, it was already too late. The entire pot of soup went tumbling to the floor. Within two seconds, everything was coated in the mushy red-brown goop, and Terra(Caroline) was left standing in a corner, surrounded by a massive puddle on nearly all sides.
Maxxie(Jade) immediately turned around as she heard the noise, and upon rushing back to the kitchen, there was a moment of silence between the two sisters.
Maxxie(Jade): “…”
Terra(Caroline): “…”
Maxxie(Jade): “…”
Terra(Caroline): “…”
Maxxie(Jade): “Oh, MOTHERFUCKER!!!“
Terra(Caroline): “I— I’m so sorry Maxxie! Everything was going fine, but I bumped my elbow into the pot, I tried to stop it from falling and it just—”
Maxxie(Jade): “Sis, I’m not going to blame you for this. I’m going to blame myself. Because I’m the adult here, and I should have known that you and me, living in a house together like this, was a bad idea. I mean, I kinda did already, but I expected us to have some success. Instead, whenever we try to do anything, things BREAK!”
Maxxie(Jade) rubbed her hand over her face before continuing her rant.
Maxxie(Jade): “We screwed up two loads of laundry because we read the instructions wrong. We left the gas stove on all night after we tried to make eggs for dinner— and almost blew up the freakin’ house! We broke the vacuum cleaner when trying to do some basic cleaning— and now it’s at the repair shop! And when we try to make something simple and low effort— put shit into a pot and stir— we wind up with a mess like… THIS!”
While ranting, Maxxie(Jade) pointed at the overbearing mess before her, and examined the damage. The thresholds on the floor prevented the nearly four liters of soup from entering the other rooms on the first floor, but the same was not true for the basement door connected to the kitchen. Just from a glance, Maxxie(Jade) could tell that the soup definitely escaped down the stairs… and she groaned as she imagined just how trailed down.
Maxxie(Jade): “…And I left the mop downstairs in the laundry room… UGH!”
Terra(Caroline) stared at her sister turned daughter with a pitiful look, unable to do anything in her island of safety surrounded by mess, but as Maxxie(Jade) examined if, she had an idea.
Without expositing or sharing, Maxxie(Jade) ran to the front door, where there was a broom and dustpan present. Even Maxxie(Jade) wasn’t foolish enough to think she could use a broom to clean up soup. Instead, she grabbed the dustpan and went into the bathroom she was about to enter just a minute ago to grab a garbage can. With these two tools, she dashed to the kitchen and began scooping up the mess to the best of her ability. Using the dustpan to grab as much soup as she could, before dumping it into the can. It was… a solution.
Did it work? Well… kind of. The dustpan managed to grab about 90% of the soup before her, but it was not thin enough to pick up the remaining residue, and could do nothing about the soup that escaped into the cracks. Maxxie squatted using Jade’s scrawny body and waddled as she made pathways to ‘rescue’ Terra(Caroline) before making a path to the basement.
Maxxie(Jade): “Okay, you go down, grab the mop, bucket, and Pine Sol, and come up here, because I’m NOT going to be able to clean this up with a flat shovel.”
Terra(Caroline): “I don’t think that’s the right word, Sis—”
Maxxie(Jade): “—Not in the mood, Terra! Do as Big Sis asks! Please and thanksies!“
With a timid nod, Terra(Caroline) scurried downstairs taking care not to step into the soup residue with her bare feet. It didn’t really work. She would need to jump onto the stairs to avoid it. Which was just a terrible idea in general, and a super terrible idea in this context. The LAST thing they needed was an emergency room visit.
With a loose plan in place, the two executed their tasks. Maxxie(Jade) continued to fill her garbage can with lentil floor soup, one dustpan at a time. While Terra(Caroline) walked up the stairs, her arms full of a sponge mop, bucket, and giant bottle of Pine Sol. Now all they had to do was dump out the soup and start cleaning up the floor properly. …But when you have no idea what you’re doing, even the simplest actions seem alien.
With the small garbage can full of soup, and the overwhelming majority of soup picked up, Maxxie(Jade) decided to get rid of it… by dumping the contents into the larger kitchen garbage bin. Yes, she didn’t tie off the smaller garbage bag and put it in a bigger one, or better yet, keep it as its own bag. She emptied the garbage bag, full of liquid, into another, bigger garbage can… that was already mostly full. She fortunately recognized that it was full, and tied the bag before huffing it out of the can, placing it on the floor, where she could plainly see the liquid gushing around it.
While Maxxie(Jade) dealt with this, Terra(Caroline) filled her bucket with lukewarm water and poured Pine Sol into it. Except instead of putting in the recommended amount, which was not much, she put in half a cup of the stuff. So much that, once she started putting the sponge mop into the water to mix it around, it created a swarm of soap bubbles. Bubbles that spread across the floor as she attempted to clean it. It worked, but it also filled the room with an overbearing scent of pine needles and lemons. …Mostly lemons.
Still, Terra(Caroline) understood enough to use a mop effectively, even though she did not realize she was supposed to squeeze the sponge using the attached mechanism. With her sister set on a task even she couldn’t screw up, Maxxie(Jade) grabbed the garbage bag, throwing it over the shoulder like a cartoon robber, and schlepped it out the back door. Barefoot, she walked down the sidewalk to the large garbage bins in the alley, lifted up the hefty plastic lid, and threw the bag in… or at least tried too.
Right as she lobbed the bag into the edge of the bin, it tore at its seams, leaked, and assaulted her with a torrent of garbage juice and soup. Due to the way she was holding the bag, it sprayed her from head to toe, embedding itself into her curly brown hair, dousing her clothes, and covering her face.
Maxxie(Jade): “GAAAAHHHH!!! What the fuck!”
As she shouted, she had the foresight and awareness to shove the garbage into the bin, but by that point it was too late. She was soaked from head to toe, her clothes were a mess, and even though this was mostly food, knowing that this came from a garbage bag still filled her with maximum disgust.
Maxxie(Jade): “Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Fucking fuckity fucker!”
She dropped F-bombs like it was going out of style as she walked down the sidewalk, dripping in trash water, stomping her bare feet against the concrete walkway. She initially made her way to the door, but as she looked down at herself, still covered in trash despite leaving a trail of it, she came to her senses. If she went inside, she would just make even more of a mess, so she had to get cleaned outside, using… a hose!
She spied the hose reel next to the back door and immediately took the nozzle, pressed the trigger, and… was met with nothing. She tried again, and again, and a fourth time, before seeing the valve connected to the wall. She tugged at it before it finally relented, and she heard the faint sound of water flowing through it. Emboldened, and thinking she finally did something right, Maxxie(Jade) held the hose up to her head, ready to start at the top. She pressed the trigger… only to be met with a jet spray that shot right into her eye.
She fumbled backwards from this surprise attack and landed ass-first into the grass.
Maxxie(Jade): “Verde! why must you punish me so? I’m a freaking classically trained ojou-sama, so of course I never learned any of this shit! But you expect me to just figure it out on the fly like this? FUCK YOU!”
With her frustration pushed to an apex, Maxxie(Jade) decided to say screw it and just get out of her sullied clothes. Throwing off her T-shirt, bralette, shorts, and panty, all of which had been tainted by the soup-trash-water. She crumpled them into a wad, ran back to the alley, and dunked them straight into the trash bin, before slamming it back shut.
She exhaled after this bout of frustration, rubbed a hand on her face, before looking down at her naked body. The pale and thin body of Jade, with the most modest of breasts hanging from off its chest, leading to a narrow frame. It was the body of her beloved girlfriend, a body that, while not the most overtly sexy of their gang, was the one that made her libido go wild! …But now was NOT the time to masturbate. It was the time to get rid of the crap that still covered her skin and lingered in her hair.
Maxxie(Jade) returned to the hose, quadruple-checked that the nozzle was set to shower, positioned it away from her, and verified with her hand that, yes, this was a low-pressure stream of water. With full assurance that this would not hurt her, she began to use the hose as a makeshift shower, holding it above her head as she brushed away whatever gook was on her person. Plucking individual lentils out of her hair, brushing broth off of her face, and scrubbing away trash water with her hands. The water was cold enough to send goosebumps all over her body and make her nipples erect, but it only took her a few seconds before she got everything. …At least she hoped so.
With this latest ordeal behind her, she put the hose away and turned off the valve. …But as she turned her head, she saw someone from the neighbor’s backyard staring back at her naked form. An old White man with a bald head and a scraggly beard, dressed in a baggy shirt and shorts. Silence elapsed as the two engaged in what quickly became a staring contest, neither of them saying anything before Maxxie finally blinked, groaned, and tried to reason with this stranger.
Maxxie(Jade): “Look dude, this just has not been my day. If you could forget that this ever happened, that’d be swell.”
With one of the quickest turns she made in her life, Maxxie(Jade) emotionlessly walked up to the back door, locked it behind her, and groaned as loudly as she could.
Maxxie(Jade): “Terra, we need to—”
The second she entered the kitchen, Maxxie(Jade) immediately slipped on the tile, and landed right on her bony ass. The floor was a wet and soapy mess, with visible bubbles all over the place. As she tumbled, Terra(Caroline) immediately turned to her sister and shouted.
Terra(Caroline): “Oh my goodness! I’m so sorry Maxxie! …W-Why are you naked?! A-Are you alright?”
Maxxie(Jade) looked up at her sister with a dull, bitter expression. She rose up from the ground, grabbing the handle of the oven, where she saw that the burner was still going. She turned it off, looked over at her sister, and let out a huff.
Maxxie(Jade): “I’m fine. The trash bag broke open, sprayed trash soup all over me, I got pissed, threw the clothes away, and took a hose shower. I’m pretty sure my ass is bruised, but I think that’s all. And instead of trying to be adults about this, making our own food, we’re just going to order takeout. You want Chinese? Because I want Chinese!”
Terra(Caroline): “Before you do that you, um, should put some clothes on…”
It was only then that Maxxie realized that she was displaying Jade’s naked body to her sister. While this wasn’t weird from a body perspective— because what mother hasn’t seen her 18-year-old daughter naked? It also wasn’t weird from a mind perspective— because sisters see each other naked all the time. But when you combined them together, it was enough to make Terra(Caroline) blush as she averted her gaze.
Maxxie(Jade): “…Do I still have any clothes? We kinda ruined all of them and made them 80% their usual size, so…”
Terra(Caroline): “Just… go to Jade’s room and check. I’ll… try to dry the floor a bit faster.”
As Terra(Caroline) pulled out a towel from a drawer and went down on her hands to manually dry the floor, Maxxie(Jade) walked through the home, leaving behind a trail of water in her wake. There was a part of her that knew this was just making yet another mess, but she was so bitter and frustrated at the moment that she didn’t really care. All she cared about was getting up the stairs and finding something to wear.
Maxxie(Jade): “This was supposed to be the best week of my freakin’ life, but it’s going great for everyone except me! Mom and Dad are into each other even more than usual, and they’re probably fucking in an airplane toilet as we speak. Zoe and Shiaka have been spending a LOT of time together ever since Wednesday, and I’m pretty sure they’re fucking. It’d be weirder if they weren’t. While the new Flare family is livin’ it up! Going out, having fun, hitting up Great America because my body doesn’t get super motion sick— which Verde might have fixed, but I didn’t check my freaking phone, because Jade set it to silent! GARF!”
Now in Jade’s bedroom, Maxie(Jade) plucked ‘her’ phone off the desk and immediately called ‘Maxxie,’ frantically tapping her foot as she waited for her girlfriend to pick up. Seven seconds later, she did just that.
Jade(Maxxie): “Word up, Jade! How’s it going?”
Maxxie(Jade): “THE SOUP SPILLED AND NOW I’M NAKED!”
Jade(Maxxie): “…Hol’ up a minute, are you gonna explain what the frick that means, or are you just messing with me for the hell of it?”
Maxxie(Jade): “In an hour, I’m going over to your house, with my mother, and we’re going to have a pool party!”
Jade(Maxxie): “Huh. You’ve been awfully demanding this week, Darling. And what if I’m not in the mood for a pool party? What if I just wanna laze around a jill off and enjoy my summer? I love ya, Jade, but I don’t want you getting too clingy around me.”
Maxxie(Jade) could hear the exaggerated fibbing in Jade(Maxxie)’s voice, and while she was ordinarily down for such playfulness. Now was not one of those times.
Maxxie(Jade): “I… look, I get what you’re doing, and I love it when you try to act like me, girl. Like, for real, if I wasn’t pissed right the fuck off, we’d be straight up ERP-ing this bitch. I need to unravel, so Imma gonna spend the night at your house, and we’ll have a good moonlight sexy time. Ya dig?”
Jade(Maxxie): “Six feet in less than an hour, my girl! So, when are you planning on heading over?”
Maxxie(Jade): “Uh… 14:00? Lunch is in the trash, so I’m gonna need to order Chinese, and I dunno how long it’ll take.”
Jade(Maxxie): “Goodness, at this rate I don’t even want to know what my credit card bill will be like at the end of the month.”
Maxxie(Jade): “It’s cool, my parents will be handing out money like candy and—”
Jade(Maxxie): “Maxxie, it’s a moot point because our parents are millionaires. …And if we are going to be reimbursed, we should have Verde pay for everything. This is all her fault anyway!”
Maxxie(Jade): “Now you’re thinking like an ojou-sama!”
Jade(Maxxie): “Ohohohohoh! Why, of course. …And I just realized that I am an ojou-sama in my regular body.”
Maxxie(Jade): “All thanks to he who shan’t be named! Anyway, somebody’s gotta get dressed. See ya!”
With the call taken care of, Maxxie(Jade) began pilfering through Jade’s wardrobe, though there wasn’t much to choose from, and assembling an outfit would need to take some careful analysis.
As Maxxie(Jade) was getting dressed, Terra(Caroline) had just finished schlepping the bucket and mop into the laundry room.
Terra(Caroline): “I have always respected Babs for what she did… but if dealing with the two of us is this much work, then I’ve been taking her for granted for years. I knew what she did was actual work, but I never realized just how easy it is to destroy things when trying to make them, or just clean them. …I’m going to need to go to housekeeping bootcamp with her next week. I’d say my ignorance is because of my… unique childhood but, looking at Maxxie… it’s a gender neutral issue.”
After indulging in the awful habit of thinking out loud, Terra(Caroline) walked up the stairs, taking note of how much slower she was moving than in her usual form. But before she could muse about the way humans aged, she was met with the sight of Maxxie(Jade)’s body, dressed in a winter Oransen High uniform. One colored a dark forest green, with its sleeves rolled up to just beneath the elbows and paired with a navy skirt.
Terra(Caroline): “…You just graduated four days ago.”
Maxxie(Jade): “I had limited options, thank you very much.”
Terra(Caroline): “Why does Jade even have a winter uniform? She never wound up wearing one, did she?”
Maxxie(Jade): “Not to school.”
Terra(Caroline): “Then why is she even keeping it?”
Maxxie(Jade): “Oh, you ignorant babe. Every girl should keep at least one school uniform until they’re in ‘primo GILF territory.’ Maybe even after that…”
Terra(Caroline): “…Just call the Chinese place… and make sure to get me some prawn toast.”
Part 2: Backup Lunchies

Location: Jade and Caroline’s House
After placing their order, the two sisters turned mother and daughter were sitting at the small end table in the kitchen, covered by a placemat, with a scattering of containers before them. Terra(Caroline) slowly enjoyed her food, carefully tasting it before swallowing, and making sure to try a bit of everything. While Maxxie(Jade) did just the opposite, and was eating like a ravenous animal, stabbing her fork into whatever oyster pail she happened to grab before shoving the food into her maw. She chewed rapidly before swallowing and licking the sauce splattered across her lips, before a synapse fired in just the right way. With a thud, she rose from her seat and slammed her hands on the table.
Maxxie(Jade): “IT’S FRIDAY! That means we’re changing back in less than 24 hours! Shit! We’ve gotta get our thoughts organized.”
Terra(Caroline): “…Wait, do we need to write a book report on being someone else or—”
Maxxie(Jade): “Nah, screw that. I ain’t writing no book reports… Wait, do we need to do that in college? If so, I guess I’ll— Nah, we never agreed to that or anything, but we need to get our thoughts organized. Terra, as an 11-year-old, how’d you like being a mom for a week!”
Terra(Caroline): “You make it sound like I was allowed to be your mother, Maxxie. But whenever I tried, you—”
Maxxie(Jade): “Yeah, yeah, I know. I love Jade, but being here was just sorta… been there done that, y’know? She’s the same age as me, but skinnier, taller, and whiter. It might have been fun if I was supposed to act like her… but it’s real hard to do that when I know that C is my li’l sis!”
Terra(Caroline): “Is that your way of blaming me for this?”
Maxxie(Jade): “C’mon, you know what I meant! I mean, you’re not a great mom, but you’re an 11-year-old girl who didn’t get many chances to play mommy back in Pre-K. That’s to be expected. And you gotta be a helluva momma to tame the Maxxisaurus!”
Terra(Caroline): “Hm… I suppose you do have a point with that. Growing up so much so quickly has been… strange to me. It truly does feel like the next stage from what I experienced when I was in your and Shiaka’s bodies. Everything is a bit stiffer and harsher, to the point where I knew I had to stretch after cleaning up the floor like that, or else I would be sore tomorrow.”
Maxxie(Jade): “…Damn, you picked up on that already?”
Terra(Caroline): “I’ve seen Babs do it plenty of times, and she is basically the same age as Caroline. But my point was I am definitely taller, feel more mature, and am far more developed than I was before.”
While saying that, Terra(Caroline) postured to her C-cup breasts.
Terra(Caroline): “Maybe we should have switched our choices, so I could be Jade and you could be Caroline.”
Maxxie(Jade): “Eh… That’s a pretty terrible plan when you consider Jade’s my girlfriend, and I haven’t gone a night without prying deeper and doing the sort of stuff she’s too timid to do with me.”
Terra(Caroline): “I feel like every time you make a reference like that, you should give me five bucks.”
Maxxie(Jade): “Yeah, I’d go into debt like that! But imagine how much worse I’d be if I was in full-on MILF mode.”
Terra(Caroline) groaned at her sister’s perverseness, took a sip of her water, and kept the conversation going by shifting the topic.
Terra(Caroline): “Either way, I think we can say that this swap was a mess.”
Maxxie(Jade): “I prefer a learning experience.”
Terra(Caroline): “Yes, I guess I did learn things, like how I lack certain real life skills, but I could’ve learned those in a far less… involved way.”
Maxxie(Jade): “Was it optimal? No. But you’re still a kid. You learn more from weird shit like this than you’d ever think. It’s all part of growing up!”
Terra(Caroline): “Yeah, yeah. Everything is an experience, and I need to get enough before I can undergo a class change at level 20… or I guess 18 in this case.”
Maxxie(Jade): “I was not expecting a Fire Emblem reference there.”
Terra(Caroline): “It’s the first comparison that came to mind… But going back to the ‘body review,’ I… really like it in Caroline. I’m definitely not as youthful and energetic as I used to be, and it’s strange how I’ve developed a fondness for coffee so quickly. However, there is also a certain… comfort with being a woman with an established life, with not being held to the same standards as a child or teenager. Plus, seeing this, seeing what true adulthood is like… has discarded just about every concern I had about growing up as a woman. Because if this is what I can expect in twenty years, then… I definitely made the right choice.”
Maxxie(Jade): “I’m not super sure if Caroline is the best example. She’s been hot for as long as I can remember. While I can see a few faults, they’re nothing you can’t hide with some carefully applied makeup, and you were quite a quick learner, now weren’t you?”
Terra(Caroline): “Well, she taught me the basics. It was… surreal to do that with someone else’s face, and with such a different skin tone, but I… I still felt butterflies in my stomach when I saw myself in the mirror like that. In fact, doing that, and being so… intimate with this body, I… feel like I have a certain connection to it. Like I want to get to know the real Caroline better after being so intimate with her form.”
Maxxie(Jade): “Well, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to do just that after she becomes your mother-in-law.”
Terra(Caroline): “…W-Wait, did you and Jade get engaged? I-I guess that isn’t much of a surprise, but you’ve only been dating for two months and—”
Maxxie(Jade): “Oh, simmer down, Sissy. We’ll get hitched whenever Jade feels like it… or 2020. Whichever comes first!”
Terra(Caroline): “Does Jade know that? Did you ask her if she wanted to get married?”
Maxxie(Jade): “Fiiiine! I wanted to keep it implied, as Jade is still iffy about long-term stuff, is still figuring out who she wants to be, and yada yada. If she wants to keep it casual for a few years, then I get it.”
Terra(Caroline): “‘Keep it casual?'”
Maxxie(Jade): “I mean, we are girlfriends, but if Jade wants to fuck around with this body swapping doohickey and do stuff in other people’s bodies, that’s cool with me. And it will be even if we get married. So many marriages go down the shitter because people want to have sex with other people, but can’t. So all I would ever ask in a relationship is… being honest like that. Fuck around, but tell your partner about it, and be cool about it going both ways, none of that one sided bullcrap. Sex is cool, masturbation is dope, and the sooner society gets past this puritanical bullcrap, the better.”
Terra(Caroline): “‘Consent is key and if you have a problem with something, be an adult and talk about it.'”
Maxxie(Jade): “You heed my words well, my pupil. I’d say that you might one day become half the degenerate I am. But if the sound coming out of your bedroom meant anything, you’re well on your way to becoming more than that.”
Terra(Caroline): “…Please don’t tell anyone about that.”
