Bowser Peach Best by MariTheLilimRemember how last week I was befuddled by the notion of Toadette obtaining a Royal Crown power up to become Peachette, as demonstrated in the reveal trailer for New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe? While doing so, I also wondered what would happen if other characters got ahold of the item, though I never would have expected much to come from this. Then somebody made a comic featuring Bowser using a Super Crown, and turning into “Bowsette”, which in turn sparked a slew of confusion and fan art. I have made it no secret that I like TG stuff, and seeing something like this pop up and become a big deal is akin to a miniature Christmas for me, as it is rare that such a niche interest gets meaningful exposure.  Plus, the sheer quantity of art that has been made is downright absurd.  I thought that the Fatal Cutie Terry Bogard craze was the best I was ever going to get, but this makes that look like the Mario Odyssey possession craze, which was so upsettingly small!

I recently purchased Cyberdimension Neptunia: Four Goddesses Online, because while I am rather critical of the Neptunia series, I genuinely like them, and cannot justify skipping out on a title. I managed to squeeze a spot for it into my schedule, but as I went to start it up on Friday night, I quickly ran into issues where the game simply did not work. The Steam forums were not enough to help me with my endeavors, as all methods I could find proved to be ineffective. The game runs, barely, but I can neither play nor refund it, so I guess I’ll need to wait until I get a new PC in order to try again, because Idea Factory is certainly not going to patch this game…

0 Henneko Hey Sexy Boy There is a TOn of Poverty and destruction in the world Enjoy this pornSo, I didn’t pay much attention to it after its launch, it’s flaccid whimpering launch, but it was pretty obvious to everybody that something bad happened in the Bundie offices when this turkey was being baked. So Kotaku, a site I visit so seldomly I do not know what the front page looks like, did a neat little piece on the development of the Destiny: Part 1 or Dest1ny if you are somebody who found out about 1337-speak in 2007, and still thinks it’s kinda cool…   (more…)

158Sorry no review his this past week. I didn’t really play anything the week before that, and am currently working my way towards Undertale, which is pretty darn fantastic and is probably going to be my favorite game of 2015. Heck, I’d say it’s a ten on ten if there was an easy mode, because I am really not good at games that focus on avoiding things that move in odd patterns or give you a limited reaction time. But I’ll save that for the review. For now, enjoy this page of shoddily constructed game news that I gathered, in contrast to the TGS rundown of last week. (more…)

Danganronpa: Another Episode – Ultra Despair Girls Review

2015-09-09-213227About a year ago I went through the two mainline DanganronpasTrigger Happy Havoc and Goodbye Despair, both of which I thought were fantastic games about deception, murder, hope, despair, and being very dark while also being profusely silly and overall fun. As such, I was quick to order a copy of Ultra Despair Girls, which acted as my one full-priced retail purchase for the year of 2015, and I had high hopes that it would be among my favorite titles of the year, but that’s unfortunately not the case… (more…)

0 SNAFU Youth CHild Kid I am not old enough to understand age this is ancient and out of my rangeSo, Kung Fury came out and everybody was happy with it. I personally thought it was an energetic and slightly disorganized little romp that knew what it wanted to be, and managed to be just that. It was an intensive labor of love that will likely not age all that well as the 80s children start dying out, and people wonder why the video quality can be so shitty at points. I get that it is a throwback to times of old, but while I think VHS tapes are cool and had quite a collection as a youngster, they are pretty crap when it comes to image quality. (more…)

Freedom Wars Review

freedom-wars-listing-thumb-01-us-psvita-15aug14I’m fresh off of a week of depression and inferiority filled office work that I spent my Spring Break doing, making it not much of a break at all, but the very concepts of breaks during schooling is nothing short of devilish, and they should be banned. I know that children should be instilled with hope lest they get mental problems, but those who have a ‘clean’ mind are those who do not deserve a spot in the utopian reworking of society of Genocider Jay… Also I played the hit Vita exclusive Freedom Wars for… I’d guess fifteen hours, got to the fifth mission set and decided that I played enough to review it, as the game was getting on my plums, and once you’re on my plums, you can’t really get off them. 0 Mari entire life was pointless about jerking off cum times orgasm fun worthless die in a fire you fuckerOkay, GDC week, and it was pretty full of goodies, but I want to first highlight a Kickstarter that I cannot believe exists, and it is for an anime series by the name of Devil’s Legacy, and it looks like a complete and utter scam if you mixed it with a genuine and promising series. The amounts of ADHD that is poured into this mess of ideas and art that generally doesn’t look good, but was made by 20+ year veterans of the anime industry is staggering, but with a 149,000 Euro goal, I doubt that anybody would get the… what is it? A 8-10 minute short? Which are you promoting with some artwork that looks like it was done in 8-10 minutes, though I suppose that if you have “100 main characters” you should expect the quality to be spread thin. 0 Rain Transexual Transgender and all that other crap in one bitOkay, so, my next novella, A Vile Doohickey, I am aiming for a Christmas release with it. I am nearly finished with editing, and just need to whip up some author’s comments, put it together, and post it before the 25th… And the next novella will probably take half a year to be completed, as I will need to do a lot of pre production. Why? I basically want to set the grounds for something where I can reuse a cast of characters in a wide variety of scenarios, all of which can be justified. That said, I need to get everything organized, think it through five times, and do that before writing what is basically tg body horror about a young man turning into my interpretation of the Public Domain character Vivian James… Yes, I am still going to do it! 0 GUP Let's Do This And Go Home. GrumbleI am not in the mood to write an intro right now. I am hindered from a lack of sleep, am finishing up this semester of school, and am trying to get myself to edit A Vile Doohickey, when I keep on searching for distractions. I’ll edit chapter five after this goes public, so… here is an unimportant blurb about two mid-sized events in the video game industry.

Muramasa Rebirth Review

size4_51b65a326524aI have distinct memories of picking up Muramasa: The Demon Blade back when it first launched, as it was a gorgeous looking title that duped me into purchasing it by including just about every design it had on a big piece of cardstock and clipping it to the game. However, I never did properly beat it, or at least to the degree I did before picking up the remastering/port/upgrade for the Vita. Only putting ten hours into it before stopping to play something else, which is a statement that very much held true after getting as far as I did.

Persona 4 Golden Review

Persona-4I guess this is where I talk about my history with the Shin Megami Tensei series, as I technically have one. I watched a playthrough of the Australian version of Persona 3 FES back in 2011, learning of both the plot and gameplay mechanics as I familiarized myself with the flow the sub franchise, which arguably blossomed into a franchise separate from, say, Shin Megami Tensei IV, a very gluttonous game that left me bored in terms of story due to how terrible the pacing was shaped by the frankly unenjoyable gameplay that prioritized grinding above all else. I gave it 40 hours, if only to justify my $42. But hey, people praised the crap out of Persona 4, especially Golden and I saw it worthy to get over thrice the playtime. (more…)

0SCD I am Not Problematic I am Great CockyHey kids, guess what I did? Bought a Vita. I didn’t buy PS+ or a 32GB memory card, but the main system, a crappy plastic grip, and a 4GB memory card were sagged by me for $133 so I could not refuse. But seeing as how I don’t have much cash in my pockets, I only have one game which I played through twice before, Symphony of the Night. Why that? Because it is probably one of my favorite games of all time and I would be glad to own it on every system within a meter of where I sit as I type this intro that will help explain why I’m suddenly reviewing The Golden in… June-ish. ButtholesNew Vegas is fun, I watched three anime episodes yesterday so I’m back on track, and school is starting up for me, or at least my other two classes are. Also I finished my second novella’s rough draft, not that anybody will see it in 2013. So everything is peaches for me, especially seeing as how I had my first encounter with a friend after a month of isolation. Yay asocialism, sorry, I meant being asocial. Now for your video game news. (more…)

Who do I need to scrub like a stain for Having the majority of E3 conferences cram up one single day? Personally, I am starting college today with a summer session. Leaving when Microsoft begins their talks, and coming back when EA begins.  However, I managed to watch all the press conferences and give my impressions. So I’ll just leave this here and sleep up as I regret being a bit outrageous with my emotions because I’m just so overwhelmed with the feels! (more…)

NR Missing You SchoolYes, I am forever done with highschool, and will likely only go back there to get my diploma or maybe film something, assuming I can have my dad arrange a deal to produce DVDs of the school’s plays. However, I am just being silly with what I dub Apansexuality! Because I love sexualization, but I don’t want to have sex, just watch twelve year olds get it on while I’m in the bushes! …I guess that could be a good chapter three… where was I? Right, video games! (more…)

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater HD Review

metal_gear_solid_snake_eater_desktop_1600x900_hd-wallpaper-867696There are times when a game falls flat on expectations. When a game that is a personal favorite of many people you admire turns out to be something you just can’t get into. And times when it effectively kills your interest in the series it belongs to. But not Snake Eater, because it is my favorite Metal Gear Solid game thus far.

Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty HD Review

wallpaper-Metal_Gear_Solid_2As stated prior, I apparently lived my life wrong to the point where I never ended up touching a PS2 or original Xbox controller, choosing a Gamecube because I could only get one, and I inherited a Nintendo 64. Which is a decent excuse for why I never played several titles, but no reason why I waited over a year until I opened up the Metal Gear Solid HD collection to continue my trek through the series.
