Announcement (3/1/2022) Plans for the Nigma Box 10th Anniversary

On May 25th, within less than three months, Nigma Box will be celebrating its tenth anniversary. Now, this is a mostly sentimental celebration. The first year and a half of content on this site has either been deleted or made private, and I do not have an audience large or engaged enough to mark this as a noteworthy celebration. However, Nigma Box is ultimately something I do for myself, and I personally want to celebrate this milestone. It represents my growth as a writer, creator, and overall person, and shows how committed I can be to the things I am passionate about.

I already began the tenth anniversary celebration with the release of Psycho Bullet Festival 2222 from 2/2/22 to 2/22/22. My longest novel yet, and a crossover that really was 9 years in the making.

However, that is far from all I have planned to celebrate this accomplishment, as I have four goals to meet during or before the week of May 25, 2022:

  • Redesign Nigma Box to be more modern and make better use of WordPress’s current features. If need be, I’ll invest a few hundred dollars into the site per annum to make it nice. This is something I have dabbled with but never committed to, given the limitations of the modern themes offered by WordPress, and the fact that I do not want to tinker with a custom theme to make my website work. But I have been using the same theme for 10 years and it’s time to change it.
  • Release my novels and TSF Series on Amazon to increase the distribution of my work. This will not be done for the sake of personal profit, and I would not charge more than $3 for any one of my works (at least for the time being, because inflation and whatnot). I have not decided what I will do with the earnings from this venture, whether it be for WordPress fees, art commissions, or charitable donations. But I don’t want to just pocket it and spend it on pretzels or whatever rubes do with spending money.
  • Write a ~10,000 word story that I have been thinking about for the better part of two years, tentatively named Weiss Vice: Glory Unto Genocide. If that sounds like an incredibly ‘problematic’ story, trust me, it is. Just not in the way you’re probably imagining…
  • Write Natalie Rambles About TSF. This will be an improved and updated version of my original 2019 article Natalie Rambles About TG, and I intend for it to serve as my go-to summary of TSF, what it is, its broad history, why I find it fascinating, and so forth and so on.

I also have made my decision regarding my next big project. As I discussed in Natalie Rambles About 2021, I was at an impasse about which project to pursue next. But I have decided that my next significant writing undertaking will be The Dominance of Abigale Quinlan. A sequel to both The Malice of Abigale Quinlan and Psycho Bullet Festival 2222. This is a novel I originally conceptualized all the way back in 2015, and one that I hope to release before the end of 2022. Either on November 18th, or leading up to Christmas.
