Soft Served News! The greatest time between E3 and Comic-Con, where jack often happens. To remedy this dry season storming in, I’ll talk about the most minor of things that I can justify putting in here. Like the hard to interpret possible reversal of Nintendo’s Let’s Play monetization scheme… Nah, I’ll find something else.
You know what’s weird? The fact that this is the first game I beat on a Sony system. Yeah, been playing games since I was six back in 2000, but I never played much of, let alone owned, a Playstation of any sort. What better way to introduce myself to this lineage of systems with GOTY contender The Last of Us. Shame it makes me feel like I’m terrible! (more…)
Alright, as my first semi-timely game review since… Virtue’s Last Reward in November? Well, I reviewed, or actually re-reviewed, seeing as how I barely recalled the storyline, Rain Slick 3 a few months ago, so I’m pretty much obliged to talk about the sequel now, after having a plethora of good things to say, but I can’t say my thoughts are as positive as they were last time. Is there really any excuse why I put this off for so long? Sure, the series had a weird schedule with the final two episodes coming out months after the first few, but it’s called Girls und Panzer for crying out loud! The very title is half German, and it is about a group of high school girls partaking in a sport known as Tankery. Certainly a very attractive premise, and one that swept me off my feet, giddy as I went on the ride. (more…)
It’s a weird feeling to have all three consoles of the seventh generation behind me, namely in the form of a Playstation my friend lent me so I could play The Last of Us and talk about it for days on end. But I’m also typing this while listening to a fandub of an anime intro where one of the first lines is, “Be gentle, this is my first time.” And am a few minutes away from rewriting the introduction of a Gimpsuited twelve year old boy with a vagina because I think it’s funny… This is my life, and I adore every aspect of it! Well Microsoft, now I’ve got to publish something where I got annoyed at your bullcrap. Oh no, I’ve got some words to say about their change in tone, but I’m not going to invalidate three paragraphs! I wanted a smooth week after E3, but nope! Here is what I wrote, thrown out to the dogs as it is already rotting.
Fire Emblem was a series that I, along with countless others who naturally learned about it when it threw characters into Super Smash Brothers, but never really paid much attention to. However, as what was potentially the final game in the series dropped a few months ago showed that if you remove permadeath, the series can sell enough to justify its production costs in North America alone. Not sure if I have a ton to say that hasn’t been said, but I dumped 90 hours into this thing, and should probably review a game from 2012 not that the year’s halfway over. (more…)
Okay, most of the big news was thrown off in the first day, then the second day, and come the third and fourth days, there really was just over a page worth of stuff I felt like writing about, because it was just more in depth looks at the games announced on the first day. With most of my thoughts, like Yoshi’s New Island looking like hogwash even in 3D and A Link Between Worlds having the worst Link model in the series, staying the same.

Who do I need to scrub like a stain for Having the majority of E3 conferences cram up one single day? Personally, I am starting college today with a summer session. Leaving when Microsoft begins their talks, and coming back when EA begins. However, I managed to watch all the press conferences and give my impressions. So I’ll just leave this here and sleep up as I regret being a bit outrageous with my emotions because I’m just so overwhelmed with the feels! (more…)
Word to the wise, properly read the description of something before watching it. I research most of my review log by how much the synopsis of the anime brushes my bangles, and based on the Wikipedia description I assumed that Kokoro Connect was a body swap anime, which led me to automatically added it to my backlog. After all, I love the trope of the point where it was a focal point in a narrative I never finished and one I’m currently working on. However, aside from my disappointment from the body swapping stopping at episode five, what do I have to say about the thirteen episodes I dragged myself through? (more…)

E3 is just around the corner with its disgruntled face, and without commenting on the truckload of rumors about the blasted event that will undoubtedly disappoint and tire many a man , things obviously happened to get everybody revved up for the information I will undoubtedly try to summarize in one really, really, really long post. Oh yes, the ever awkward sensation of attempting to review something old enough to have been played by most people who would care about the title, but not old enough to be nostalgic to those who played it. Well, screw it, I had this game on the shelf for six months, was originally waiting for a DLC sale so I could have the whole package, but decided to get done with it and give my thoughts.
Yes, I am forever done with highschool, and will likely only go back there to get my diploma or maybe film something, assuming I can have my dad arrange a deal to produce DVDs of the school’s plays. However, I am just being silly with what I dub Apansexuality! Because I love sexualization, but I don’t want to have sex, just watch twelve year olds get it on while I’m in the bushes! …I guess that could be a good chapter three… where was I?
