Rundown (7/09-7/15) Natalie Will Need a New Box

I have brought this up in the past, but I eventually plan on retiring Nigmabox. It is a site I have called my own since I was 17, and there is a lot of baggage placed on here because of that, with plenty of bad writing and questionable content to be found in my earlier work. Instead of doing a massive purge, I would rather just reset things with a new site I intend to launch in early 2019, after I finish school once and for all, and intend on remastering or rewriting many of my prior reviews. However, the one part of this that is hindering me is a name for this new website. Nigmabox is a really stupid name, and I have been unable to think of a decent site name for about a year now. Maybe Natalie’s Game Box or something… (more…)

Rundown (4/30-5/06) Which Breath of the Wild Dub is the Least Worst?

One of the more upsetting things for me about Breath of the Wild, at least conceptually, as I have yet to play the game, is how there was no option to change the spoken language of its characters without also changing the in-game text. It is a petty thing, but I never associated the denizens of Hyrule as being English speakers, as the snippets of Hylian featured in prior games did not sound like English. I bring this up because the ability to change the spoken language was added with a recent patch, but now I need to figure out which dub sounds the best, or the least worse. (more…)

Zero Escape: Zero Time Dilemma Review

20160704103557_1Well, it’s finally here. After 3.5 years of anticipation, and a second playthrough for both 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors and Virtue’s Last Reward, the conclusionary chapter of the Zero Escape series Zero Time Dilemma is finally here. I already spoke of my love for this series, so without further ado, let’s jump right in. (more…)

KLK Happy Success Victory PraiseI’m not going to disclose details on this, but after a lengthy period of loneliness, I finally made a friend with someone on the internets. All because they sent me an email asking about transwoman stuff. And my goodness does it feel wonderful to have someone I can talk to about the minute details of my life, and someone who is comfortable enough with me to do the same. (more…)

Hanayome wa Motodanshi

Yep! I am still going to post these every Sunday because gosh darn it I really do find pleasure in reviewing the happenings in the video game industry every week and talking about them. It’s fun, cathartic, and does not take up a lot of my time. As such, Rundowns will carry forth for the next… however long. Also, I completely failed to contribute to a conversation for 3.5 hours yesterday, so I’m feeling like a ripe little turd at the moment. (more…)

Rundown (2/14-2/20) Somebody Be My Friend and Be My Side!

1 Unknown Video Games Real Life…Yeah, not much to talk about this week. Yes, Kojima teased some fans by appearing at DICE 2016, and the launch of Street Fighter V upset a lot of people who did not expect the bare minimum from a game that will be built over the next four or five years. XCOM 2, which apparently is set after a failed run of Enemy Unknown, is apparently really buggy, and Sega gave away a bunch of Steam games because they felt like it. The Division had a beta that some people really enjoyed, even though I see little to no appeal in its general gameplay loop, and some other stuff happened, not much of it very interesting. (more…)

Rundown (10/25-10/31) Sophisticated Sadism, Silliness, Schizophrenia, and Savagery

0 Mari freak on a leash mosnter devil demon destyer bad omen death to all who oppose me welcome to the abyss of dieBecause I’m a complete idiot, I keep on thinking about the design documentation for a game idea that I’ve had for a couple of months. A sandbox game with destructible… everything, where you play as a schizophrenic shapeshifting demigod who switches between four core personality types depending on how the player wishes to have them act. What do you do? Absorb people, disguise yourself as them, cause domestic disputes, and war crimes of just about every caliber as you destroy a futuristic city designed after the late 20th century that automatically rebuilds itself whenever you destroy it, and people respawn. It would cost millions to make, and as such will never exist. A body swap centered visual novel, however, that I can probably do by myself if I hire an artist. Or I could just use Eroge sprites like Student Transfer or Press Switch. Both of which I’ll review come their next build. (more…)

0 Nyarko Despair Is Your Goal Failure Your AmbitionMy Punchline review will be next week, I fell into a bit of a rut where I felt that I would be unable to appreciate it properly and as such put it off. It is the reason why I do not go through games as quickly as possible, as I feel that I will not be in the right mindset and as such will have an inaccurate opinion on the show. I know that is a messed up way to view things, but it’s why I asked my mother if I could start going to a therapist. Along with the gender bullcrap that I have developed because I’m an idiot who cannot be happy when they have no true reason to be unhappy. (more…)

0 HeroJob You Should Really pay attention to people and not hide in the sink you weird listen out of your bubblrSo, there is very clearly something going on with Zero Escape 3. I did not bring up the countdown website as nothing had happened, but it has recently updated and Kotaro Uchikoshi tweeted out some cryptic numbers, which when gven their letter value turn into FNJANUUVNWXOXDAFXAM and KYVCFEXVJKEZXYKNZCCYRMVREVEU. When put through a Caesar Cipher decryption, which involves the letter value being shifted by a set amount, 17 for the first one, 9 for the second one, you get the messages WE ARE ALL MEN OF OUR WORD and THE LONGEST NIGHT WILL HAVE AN END. You know what that means? Ever 17’s getting a re-release, and the previous two Zero Escape titles are coming to PC along with part 3… I know I got that wrong, but a girl can dream, can’t they? pussy fart…Look, I just took a bear sized poo and spent my entire day around a bunch of talkative women who I call family for the second day in a row. I am trying to juggle with writing review, editing my novel, and just picked a subject for my research paper after trying to find one all morning. I’m working tomorrow morning, have a Borderlands 2 Partway Review going up on Tuesday, and am murdering my backlog to the point I only have seven games I want to play on Steam, but haven’t played them elsewhere.
