In case you have not noticed, for the past few months I have been reviewing a lot of visual novels on this fair little site, with the genre comprising nearly half of my reviews since halfway through 2017. Now, this was not really a conscious decision on my part, and has more to do with how I simply have a large number of visual novels on my list of games to review, and far fewer games of other genres. I have a number of reasons for this, such as visual novels being less prone to disinterest me after playing them for a brief while and less likely to suffer from notable technical issues, but the point is that I am going to keep reviewing a visual novel every other week for the foreseeable future.

So, for the past two weeks I have been presenting myself as female whenever I go out, and doing so had felt rather.. odd to me. On one hand, I feel as if I am doing nothing different at all, seeing as how I started feminizing my voice years ago, and started altering my walking patterns several months ago. It truly feels as if I am doing nothing different as I was when presenting myself as male, except now I have a feminine, if swollen, face, and my hair is a bit longer and nicer. I guess you could say the change does not feel as massive as I initially thought it would, but that’s okay, considering I am more comfortable with myself than I have been in many, many years.

After three years of eager anticipation, it has finally happened. Press-Switch has finally been updated! For those unaware, or have forgotten, Press-Switch is an absurdly expansive freeware visual novel centered around body swapping, mind alteration, possession, cloning, merging and all kinds of fun stuff. While it may seem like some sort of fetish driven excursion, which it is at least to some extent, the level of detail, variety, and complexity in its story has turned it into something far greater that I could have ever expected, and I cannot say enough good things about the game. I really have nothing to say for an introduction this week, so here is a video of Nier and Drakengard director Yoko Taro making a plea for people to preorder Neir: Automata by rolling on the floor. (more…)
I finished school for the semester, am almost done with the initial draft for my next novel, or rather novella, and I just built a new computer, and have spent the past few hours getting everything up to snuff. It required a lot of editing and modifying to the main software itself, mostly through things like Classic Shell because Microsoft doesn’t deserve the borderline monopoly they have. So look forward to game reviews based on far stronger hardware, and some more graphically demanding games. (more…)
Tomorrow I am releasing my seventh Novella, A Vile Doohickey. I have been spending the past two and a half months tinkering away on it, and feel as if it is as good as it will get without another pair of eyes to help me out, and I wanted to get it out before this year’s end. That means I have released a novella, and two novels in 2014… which is kinda crazy when I think about it. It’s also the year where I started really working, effectively decided that I do not really care for college, and would rather work in an office for the rest of my days than learn something I will forget within six months.
