Trying to follow E3 news while working a very busy job where the only down time I have during lunch is not very fun, and as such I have spent nearly the entirety of my evening catching up to E3 and watching what I missed. I’m just thankful that Microsoft moved their conference to Sunday, otherwise I would have been writing until I was struggling to stay awake. Well, more than I am when finally publishing this. (more…)
It’s no secret that I take many inspirations when writing my stories, and most of the time the inspiration is rather obscure, and therefore hard to identify. Even for me. However, I recently reread an erotic manga by the name of Trans Venus, and realized that I basically copied its core concept for no less than three of my stories. My Life As Abigale Quinlan, Terrance & Urabe’s Alien Assassination Adventure, and The Malice of Abigale Quinlan. All of these stories involve a formerly male protagonist who is unwillingly placed inside of the body of a coy and condescending woman with immense powers, and is forced to listen to the woman’s banter throughout the story. That is basically the core concept behind Trans Venus, and I had no awareness of this while I was writing these stories, as I barely remembered the manga. Okay, so, I am working full time this summer, for those who do not know, or just stumbled onto this post, and that means I cannot spend all day in E3 mode. It makes my nights very hectic, as I try to pick up the piece right after getting home, but I went through Microsoft, EA, Ubisoft, and Sony’s press conferences, amounting to over five hours of footage, while writing up some quick thoughts on the opinions on the video games, as I have been doing since 2012. What did I get? Analogue: A Hate Story, Hate Plus, Planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~, The Sacred Tears TRUE, Armored Hunter Gunhound EX, Devil May Cry 4, Bleed, Shadow Warrior: Special Edition, Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut, Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition, and maybe something else. It is rather pointless for a little slice of nowhere blog with only a small number of views to do a summarization of the E3 press events, especially when they were not watching them live due to real life events, such as work. But I got home to catch the latter two, and catch up with the former before Nintendo did their event and managed to get everything done before Tuesday’s end… well after everybody and their brother did their own version of this, and often far better than my assorted ramblings that are made all the dumber by the insertion of anime screencaps. Who do I need to scrub like a stain for Having the majority of E3 conferences cram up one single day? Personally, I am starting college today with a summer session. Leaving when Microsoft begins their talks, and coming back when EA begins. However, I managed to watch all the press conferences and give my impressions. So I’ll just leave this here and sleep up as I regret being a bit outrageous with my emotions because I’m just so overwhelmed with the feels! (more…)
