For some reason I thought the Sony pre-TGS stream was TGS itself, but I was wrong. As my apology, I will provide a depressing fact about myself. There is no area in my life where I feel I can be myself beyond this blog… yeah. I am often wracked with insecurities I shove away and ignore, but regularly uncover them and grow incredibly depressed. Ah well, fuck it, time for video game funtimes! Rundown (6/15-6/21) The One After E3 & Before Psycho Shatter

Before beginning this post, which I rewrote three times for, I wanted to talk about a rumor that arouse about Smash Brothers before E3 2013. The anonymous tipster mentioned certain currently confirmed characters along with Shulk, Chrom, and Chorus Men from Rhythm Heaven, which sounds radical if I do say so myself. But no, Steam had to pull my leg and offer a Summer Sale… and a pretty lame one at that. Yes, the last one was how I entered the world of PC gaming, and oh boy, did I make out like a bandit back then. But now? Now I’ve got another eight games to play, even if I already beat Ducktales, which I’m not going to review until next week because… backlogs. Right now I’m playing Skyrim again, and oh boy is that game evil, broken, and ugly as sin. I’ve spent hours trying to get mods to work, but I cannot see if most of them actually did anything.

…What the blazes are you saps looking at- oh, wait, I’m not sure if anybody even noticed how this place has been vacant for a good week. Now how did that… *Looks at 3DS* 100 hours, you slippery SOB. All because I wanted to train myself some extra teams. I don’t even know why I had to do that extra EV raising bull- I’ll just double down on video game news, seeing as how two weeks have passed, and it’s early October, nobody’s announcing jack or anything. They’re all too busy with reviewing the influx of titles that are crawling from the abyss.

Rundown (3/22-3/27) PAX East and Being Late To The Party

Well, I realized that the whole idea of a weekly segment being the actual title was pretty stupid, so I’ll just relabel that bit with the word, “Rundown”. If only because it fits and I like how it sounds. So… PAX East! Very cool convention, with some cool things happened in and out of it that I want to speak about. At least enough to fill a segment with things I personally consider to be worthwhile. But it was originally going to be both GDC and PAX, until I realized that was an awful idea, and am just putting everything together minutes before the post goes up.

Sleeping Dogs Review

I literally choose everything I review by looking at something and saying, “That one’ll do for this week or given time period.” And I decided that the best way to wash out the taste of a cold deconstruction of a genre I am unfamiliar with, is with an urban sandbox game! One that I would’ve probably never cared about, if not for the fact that it was one of the handful of cancelled games to be revived completely, and it got an ill fitting name. Really? There are no dogs in this tale of Sleeping Dogs!
