Wherein I discuss: A sick skinsuit TSF comic. The end of ownership. Saudi Arabia’s continued influence over Gamindustri. Atlus trying to double-kill their own games. The re;birth of E3. The racist tendencies of one of the most lucrative games of the modern era. A peashy PC port. And the end of a non-subscription streaming service.

Rundown (10/22-10/28) A New and Less Sexual Era

So, the biggest story from the past week is probably how popular gaming forum NeoGaf went offline for the weekend after the owner of the website got himself in some major trouble. The kind involving massive sexual harassment and what, from what I heard, basically amounts to rape. I regularly visited the forum, mostly just to peruse the news that my usual sites miss out on and pick up on things that many outlets would not report on. It was a very good place for information, but I and many others decided to jump ship from this site because, yeah, no, you cannot really wash away the toxicity that comes with that kind of association. So instead I and a bunch of other people are now getting news from a successor called Reset Era. Heh. Cute. (more…)

Rundown (10/15-10/21) A Master No More!

Over the past few weeks, there has been a distribution going on for the new legendary Pokemon, Marshadow, which was distributed at GameStop in the United States. Unfortunately, I missed my chance to visit one to get the mode needed to get the new Pokemon and preserve my complete Pokedex. Why is that the case? Well, I am not very mobile on my own (I cannot drive) and the task of asking my mother if I could stop by one of these stores was a bit too much for me, what with my social anxiety and such. I downplay it a lot, but my social anxiety and poor social skills makes it genuinely hard to do even basic tasks. I feel awkward so much as saying hello to someone unless they greet me first. Rundown (10/8-10/14) The Return of Press-Switch!

After three years of eager anticipation, it has finally happened. Press-Switch has finally been updated! For those unaware, or have forgotten, Press-Switch is an absurdly expansive freeware visual novel centered around body swapping, mind alteration, possession, cloning, merging and all kinds of fun stuff. While it may seem like some sort of fetish driven excursion, which it is at least to some extent, the level of detail, variety, and complexity in its story has turned it into something far greater that I could have ever expected, and I cannot say enough good things about the game. Well, it’s the middle of June, and you know what that means. It’s time for the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Yes, an event full of announcements, dubious trailers, and manufactured hype. I could be cynical about the whole thing, as it is ultimately one big commercial, but I always have a good time zealously devoting my attention to the event and working hours on end to provide write-ups on just about everything announced, while giving my own opinion on them and each conference. Yet as is always the case, pre-E3, or PRE3 as I like to call it, is in full effect, so let’s just go for it! (more…)

Rundown (3/26-4/01) The Fool’s Day is Rubbish and Cruel

Over the past two weeks, I’ve been picking away at Gender Bender DNA Twister Extreme, and I’m honestly dreading the review I’ll have to write for the game, more so than anything else I ever had to review in the five years I’ve been doing this schtick. The reason for that being just how bad and good the game can be. Some part of it are genuinely good, interesting, or funny, while others are poorly constructed, nonsensical, frustrating, or just saddening. It’s really hard to say anything definitive about any aspect of the game because of this, and I’m dreading how long my review of the game will be when I review it on April 12th. (more…)

Rundown (7/3-7/9) I Am Forever Broken

20160706222025_1So, I’ve been doing this for, what, three years now? I literally just remembered that I needed to post this within the past twenty minutes. Yeah, let that be a sentiment to how awful I can be at managing my various tasks and assignments, so long as they are self imposed at the very least. I mean, I never missed an assignment in school, and I didn’t even use an assignment notebook in high school, so why that diligence didn’t transfer over is beyond me. (more…)

Hitomi Horse Rude Nonsense Retarded RandomWhatever backlog of games I’ve accumulated over the years has petered away as of late. Partially because I more or less abandoned my backlog for the seventh generation of consoles when I switched to PC, and mostly because I am rather flippant when determining whether or not I want to put a game in a virtual rubbish bin. So now I’m emulating games I played four to five years ago, such as Xenoblade Chronicles, as I never delivered on the review I promised in posts I’ve since removed from this blog. (more…)

0 KLK How did you read my mind I do not like it when you know my throughts prediction to my reality guessed right good jobI am still working on my second proper novel, The Malicious Abigale Quinlan, in case you are wondering. Development has been a little hectic to be honest, but after rewroking certain parts of the story while keeping the core events the same, I feel I will be able to finish writing it by year’s end. Although, I will need to do some editing afterwards, which will take me about a month or so. Alright, onto a #FucKonami piece. (more…)

Persona 4 Golden Review

Persona-4I guess this is where I talk about my history with the Shin Megami Tensei series, as I technically have one. I watched a playthrough of the Australian version of Persona 3 FES back in 2011, learning of both the plot and gameplay mechanics as I familiarized myself with the flow the sub franchise, which arguably blossomed into a franchise separate from, say, Shin Megami Tensei IV, a very gluttonous game that left me bored in terms of story due to how terrible the pacing was shaped by the frankly unenjoyable gameplay that prioritized grinding above all else. I gave it 40 hours, if only to justify my $42. But hey, people praised the crap out of Persona 4, especially Golden and I saw it worthy to get over thrice the playtime. (more…)
