Good news everyone! After two years of me dragging my feet, I finally finished my latest novel, Psycho Bullet Festival: The Odyssey of Abigale Quinlan, and it will be out on April 27th for your reading pleasure. It’s been a rough road getting this thing to completion, but I managed to pull through to the end, and it wound up being my largest novel to date as well. I just hope that some people actually, you know, read this novel.  If no, then I may need to look into alternative distribution methods for my works… and commission some covers.

tired-link-by-brellom…The Hero is Defeated timeline in the Legend of Zelda annoys me. I understand the need for a timeline where Ganondorf ran free only to eventually be sealed by the seven sages without the help of Link, but there is an easier way to reach that conclusion. They could follow the rule of time travel that, whenever something foreign enters a new timeline, it causes that timeline to split off and allows for a new timeline to be created. So when Link travels to the future, he could end up splitting the timeline just by arriving there. So in A Link to the Past, the hero could have just never arrived. (more…)

Or you could check out their DeviantArt page, which is full of years worth of drawn delights. Anyways, on with the recapping of the video games. (more…)

watamote-terror-terrible-joy-happy-shock-horror-antsSo, after several years years, it finally occurred to me that I should start looking through video game press releases instead of regular old video game news outlets. However, the only site that posts press releases for public consumption is Gamasutra, while the more direct and, in my opinion, better organized Games Press is only available to industry professionals and the sort. So expect to see a lot of links back to that site. As for why I’m doing this? Well, I like feeling like a real games writer sometimes. (more…)

Magical Diary Review

670px-2,735,0,740-TitlesquareYou know what is a weird feeling I haven’t had in a long time? Playing a game with no idea what it is aside from a few screenshots. A fact that made Magical Diary the type of enigma found by people searching through PS2 bargain bins back in 2005. I suppose it is a fact that many indies will now have, as I did not even pick this up as a sale, instead it was a stocking stuffer for Go! Go! Nippon when I picked it up for $2.00 on IndieGala through their lovely Monday bundle promotion they have going on… Or was this from a Humble Bundle? Promotions aside, where does this game land? I am probably not qualified because I only saw it through to the end when it has about thrice the content, but Imma gonna review it anyhow! Oh, and I guess this is visual novel week, because I’m likely not going to be reviewing another all year, sadly enough. (more…)
