Mass Effect 3 Review

masseffect3-2016-11-08-21-22-33-17With Andromeda still looming over the horizon for a few more months, and my reviews of Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2 out of the way, it’s time to dig into Mass Effect 3, the game whose heinously negative fan reaction effectively murdered the series for me for approximately four years. It’s easily the game I remembered the least of the series, but seeing as how I genuinely enjoyed my time with it at launch, I assumed that it would still prove to be a good conclusion to the Shepard saga. Well… I was wrong. It’s a great conclusion. (more…)

Mass Effect 2 Review

20160908194421_1About a month ago, I started going through the beloved Mass Effect series once again, starting with the less than stellar predecessor to the series that I just couldn’t seem to love. That was Mass Effect 1, but Mass Effect 2… When thinking about what games really resonated with me, what games brought me an overwhelming amount of good feelings, and offered an experience that I kept coming back to, Mass Effect 2 is one of the first that comes to mind. It was among my favorite games of all time before my, what, sixth playthrough, and I think I may love it even more after going through the game yet again. Also, I played the game using a controller mod, which you can find here. (more…)

20160706215444_1So, I managed to revise two of my most recent stories this week, and next week I am both ending a job and attending school at a big girl’s university. Life is going to get hard and hectic, according to my mother who never attended university. Though, I’m not worried about that. I am sorta worried about getting out content regularly, but I think I should be able to publish 52 game reviews this year and finish up Psycho Bullet Festival 2: Bury My Children. Oh, and publish a Rundown every Sunday. Header image is by NSFW artist ModeSeven.  (more…)

Mass Effect Review

ScreenShot00340So, I’ve been wanting to revisit the Mass Effect trilogy for a while, but I kept putting it off for various reasons. The vicious opinions surrounding the ending, the overpriced DLC that isn’t included in any bundle, and the lack of controller support. Although, I managed to remedy the latter using a handy mod. Anyways, with Andromina still a looming enigma on the horizon, I figured now is as good a time as any to start the spacefaring adventure of Shepard the space shepherd. So I’ll just jump on in. Fuck E3

It is rather pointless for a little slice of nowhere blog with only a small number of views to do a summarization of the E3 press events, especially when they were not watching them live due to real life events, such as work. But I got home to catch the latter two, and catch up with the former before Nintendo did their event and managed to get everything done before Tuesday’s end… well after everybody and their brother did their own version of this, and often far better than my assorted ramblings that are made all the dumber by the insertion of anime screencaps. It’s Nigmabox’s third annual Super E3 Rundown!

KLK Damnit Mako, you wacky space digger for being so cute that I cannot refuse fine you are exceptedI am currently working on my final papers, one of which I recycled and one of which I vomited out because I was guaranteed an A in the class, and one of which I am halfway done with, but am really bored by. I am writing a review of Arkham Asylum and playing Castle Crashers because my Vita memory card isn’t coming until tomorrow and I want it to come before I start Golden. I am revising my plans for Terra’s Tales of Tremendous Transcendance because copyright laws are dumb and you cannot sell something that contains the word Pokemon in it. And I am also probably going to get a job either where my mother works or with an accounting firm if their intern thing goes through. That’s my story and I’m going to hide in a box now, bye! …Or stay since I have a page of game stuff to speak about. (more…)

Godra7Lately I’ve been playing through RPG Maker made Pokemon games, and have made spreadsheet separating nearly every Pokemon into two versions. I have no justification, but that’s my reason if the Metro LL review is late in the week, because I was too busy playing Pokemon Godra. Now I’m suppose to finish this, but I just got off of filming a middle school play where I had to stand on concrete for 2.5 hours.
