Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Review

From the dusk-basked Symphony, the lingering Circle in the sky receded. Harmony was soon established, giving away to a brilliant Aria that accompanied the Dawn. Yet upon establishing this new world in a glorious Portrait and bringing Order to the wilds, it all abruptly receded into Shadow, where it languished only to be brought back to life through a most unprecedented Ritual.

Last Friday the Student Transfer development team announced that Version 4 will be coming before the end of February, boasting that this version will contain roughly twice the content as Version 3. A surprising bit of news that I find to be simultaneously exciting and intimidating to me, as I have taken on the duty of creating the flowcharts for sprawling choose-your-own adventure style visual novels about TG, body swapping, and more. I very much want to enjoy the game and take my time with it, but Version 3 took me a good week to get through, so I am a bit concerned about getting a flowchart ready in a timely manner, especially with work and grad school keeping me so busy. As such, I decided to do my homework in advance and download what I can off of the public Student Transfer GitHub in order to get cracking on a rough flowchart for V4 at the risk of spoiling myself.  Only to discover that with the way this game is developed, I would basically need to consolidate the builds available myself and… yeah, that sounds like more trouble than it’s worth.

0 Charming

For the record, the title is just a bit of a joke on my part, as are most of my Nigmabox Rundown titles. This E3 was pretty good as a whole, and had more diversity in general. More games of more types and there were some really nifty announcements as well. It was a fun time that did have some industry BS, but at least it was at a lower level than it had been the past few years. (more…)

0 E3 2015Steam Summer Sales started serenely and sadly my selection of specific software ‘s selling-price stayed- screw this shaz. I keep a list of reservation prices I keep for certain games, which I adhere to well, and there were not a ton of games whose selling price dropped beneath the reservation price. So far I got Metro Redux and Epic Fantasy Battle 4 because I have some nostalgia for mid-ots Newgrounds. I will get Momodora III, Dysfunctional Systems: Learning to Manage Chaos, and DreadOut as the sale ends, but will wait to see if there are any dailies. I set myself a limit of $100 to spend, which is harder because I need to now pay taxes on Steam purchases… (more…)

0 KLK COme at me bro I isn't afraid of anything will duke it out for all eternity great justice is my name asskinking is my gameI finished another semester of college, and probably have a ton more to go through in the future. My goals were a bit obstructed by improper information, so I’m going to probably end up with a duo of Associate’s degrees for Liberal Arts and Accounting. Another two years of Accounting at a real college may come next, but from what I heard that may not be necessary. I can just get a CMA and explore my options with that and a few years of bookkeeping experience. Also, I realized that I should not buy hormones without talking to a doctor, but that would require coming out as Genderqueer, and, yeah, that would be a super awkward and terrible time that may ruin everything forever… (more…)

0 Zvezda Look at this sad little boy and his balls pathetic…I’m just really pissed at myself for so much. I know, I poke fun at myself for being kinda shit time and time again, but lately it’s been getting worse and worse and I don’t have anybody who I feel I can share any of this shit with. It’s a pretty sad state of affairs that I thought I had conquered years ago, but I have not, and I truly do not think I will be able to get my shit together… at any point in my life. So, yeah, video games. (more…)
